But you mentioned the colour correction is set to grey scale, isn’t that exactly what you want from reading mode? It’s also possible to set your display to grey scale in the settings for “modes” so you could create your own mode there called reading mode and change the display settings for that custom mode.

Yeah, I search the AUR not to discover packages, but to see if something I want to install is in there, if it is I check the PKGBUILD and make sure none of the sources/commands/patches are suspicious.
People need to remember it’s not some carefully vetted app store and that they need to be the ones vetting any packages they install and any changes when updating.
Having seen a different video about Limited Run Games, the recycled chips news doesn’t surprise me
Arch is good for tinkering with to make it your own, but can sometimes require tinkering to do things other distros can do straight away, e.g. adding udev rules to use certain devices or setting up zeroconf to be able to discover printers on the network automatically
If you want to be able to roll back changes easily you could set up your root and home partitions as btrfs subvolumes and use snapper to take snapshots, which can be combined with pacman hooks to automatically take snapshots when updating/installing software and can even be set up to allow booting into the snapshots which could be useful if you break your system

Means that you don’t need to decide how to split up space between different partitions and they are easy to delete without a live USB.
Just tested this, the colour correction only affects the displayed image on my device, not screenshots
Not sure when the ability to add custom mode was added (I’m on android 16), but it’s part of the menu that contains bedtime mode, driving mode and DND (edit: custom modes were added in one of the android 15 updates). You could use one of those preset modes and set the display setting for it to grey scale, but I’ve noticed that colour correction actually has a quick settings toggle, so you could use that with colour correction set to grey scale as a sort of reading mode as well. Here’s what my modes menu looks like on my phone:
