So I ended up reinstalling windows, and that seems to have fixed the problems. Not really sure what was causing it in the end; if they start happening again I’ll post something here. Thanks for the help!

The only other oddity I have is with my mouse. Sometimes it will do some weird thing, and I think it’s the brand and it’s drivers not being great. I’ve ordered a new one that should come today, and when it comes I plan on reinstalling windows. If that doesn’t fix this… tbh nothing will.

Memory test ran overnight and detected no issues.

The memory speed is 3600mHz, I don’t think the ram is the problem…

As I said elsewhere, I don’t use any other AV other than Windows Defender. The others are all just malware in disguise.

I found one that seems interesting:

But I don’t see any other logs around that incident. I also don’t see other, similar entries- that log is from yesterday, and I’ve had a couple of crashes today already that I don’t see showing up in the log.

I don’t see anything in Security and Maintenance either, it just shows the same log as above.

I checked the firewall and noticed something odd; Windows seems to think there is a second installation of Firefox on one of my other drives. No idea why though, I can’t find any evidence of it there…

I’m running an I9-9900K CPU, a GTX4070TI, and have 32gb of ram. I’m pretty certain it isn’t a hardware issue…

My hardware is almost certainly not the problem; I built this PC in 2019 and everything is still working great. I have more than enough ram

For what it’s worth FF seems to work just fine with the same extensions on my laptop, which runs Mint. So it’s most likely something with my desktop, but I haven’t got a clue what.

Yes, I am. So I figure some of the problems are the same problems that I saw before.

But it’s a completely clean install- I made sure all of the old files were completely wiped, even the profiles in /Appdata/

This makes me seriously consider whether my mouse could be the problem; I may buy a new one soon anyways. My mouse sometimes does some WEIRD stuff, it’s rather old.

… I’ll have to consider this. I don’t have a second mouse to use, so I can’t test it rn.

Nope, just Windows Defender, I think other AVs are just as bad as malware.

I’ve done this; the results are basically random.

It doesn’t seem to be any individual plugin. Sometimes disabling one plugin seems to fix the issues for a while, but they come back. Sometimes I’ll disable multiple and nothing changes. I’ve tried different combinations each day this week and haven’t seen anything to suggest that it helped.

Like I said, even if I run in safe mode I eventually see problems come up. It’s very strange.

NGL I haven’t considered this yet; it IS feasible though, I’d just have to make a bootable ISO drive and dig up my product key which is buried… somewhere.

I’ll consider doing that if I can’t find anything else to fix this but I’d rather not.

Nope, none at all. It’s like FF doesn’t recognize that it’s crashing.

Personally I use a VPN (Proton vpn but there are loads) that blocks ads.

At home I use a pihole, which is fantastic.
