I find Gmail hot garbage in general. Switched to proton mail and it’s similar to how Gmail used to be when it was good. Also has google integration so it makes the transition easy

The whole app is recycled dogshit. Songs freeze, half the time it won’t recognize my phone and the list goes on.

I can’t speak to the galaxies, but I have the pixel 7 and I really like it. Pictures are pretty great, and the interface is intuitive. It has some nice bells and whistles, like call screening. Battery is pretty solid too.
