I’ve been using it for nearly a year now. It’s not perfect and has given me a little grief from time to time. But it gets the job done

I’ve been console exclusively for like 15 years now because so few games used to work. But with Steamdeck’s popularity we might actually start seeing more than 10% of games getting native ports 🤞
Snaps are crap. Not using them is one of the main reasons I’m considering switching to Mint

,cp
,cat
, etc. Usually it’s GNU core tools, but there’s also BusyBox or BSD equivalents.

Research so far has indicated to English1·2 years agoMainly with the bootloader, but also a few device drivers. But this was like 6 years ago and UEFI was still new. So maybe it’s better now. Generally the older your hardware the more likely it is to be supported

Maybe it is better now, but I’d suggest starting with a traditional PC if you’re brand new to Linux

It’s just a portion of the body text, including link tags which don’t work on titles. I think there are some formatting guides out there if you want to continue trying to post to Lemmy via Mastodon.

I usually just use EXT4, but perhaps you should check out F2FS. It’s designed for solid state storage mediums, as while most were created with traditional spinning hard discs in mind
I used to have a Yoga, and when I put it in tablet mode I had a hotkey assigned that I could press to pull up Gnome’s built in on screen keyboard. Not as slick, but it worked
