Huh, I actually had to look at the At a Glance but to see what you were talking about. I’ve just taken it as a given that I can’t use the top 1/3 of the screen or the bottom strip.
I’m not a gestures guy at all, I like buttons!

I feel like I’m the only one who still reverts navigation to the 3 dots and doesn’t use any of the new stuff they’re releasing.
This taskbar looks like it’s going to make things happen without me wanting them to, I hope we can turn it off.
I’m in the same boat, the issue is my pixel 6 pro has a big smash on the screen so the Graphene option isn’t possible. I used to have a Xiaomi and actually really liked it but I hear they’re changing the os/UI? Also I dunno about ads, that sounds crap.
Exactly, I had GSuite and purchased 1tb storage for Drive. Now I’ve been moved to Workspace and they’ve cut each user down to 30gb (I’m the only user) and my Drive space doesn’t count for any of it. Drive says I have 1tb but Workspace Admin says my user is 300% over the limit.
Google themselves told me I need to purchase more storage (or up the number of users) and try and get a refund on the 1tb storage. Bizarre.
I need to replace my Pixel 6 Pro soon (cracked screen, issues with phone in general) and out of curiosity I checked iPhones. The last few versions all have very similar specs, I could get a 12 and wouldn’t be missing too much. I can see why people would constantly upgrade.
This looks like a list of apps I’m trying to move away from
Hey Quillpad is great! Thanks for the suggestion. Keep is one of those small google apps that ‘just works’ so I’ve expecting them to get rid of it or something. Wish there was a way to export from Keep into Quillpad and we’d be good.
I’ve got the 6 Pro. I cracked the screen which sucked, but for the price they should probably come with a cover.
The fingerprint scanner on the screen works less than half the time. The only thing I’ve really been impressed with is the camera, other than that I’d go any other phone.
I used to have a Xiaomi Rednote 9 Pro and loved it. Not sure how secure Xiaomi stuff is but was very happy with it, plus the fingerprint scanner was on the side and worked much better.
I forgot these existed! I always wanted one…
The most common gesture I’ve been missing up to this point is swipe to hide. Now it’s back and I’m so happy!
I don’t like Apple, but I like Macs. Obviously macos is better than Windows, but it’s also Linux without the time spent figuring out why something isn’t working.
I say that as someone who’s had a go with Linux a lot over the years, but for a daily work machine I need the reliability.
They can piss off with their iClouds and iOS stuff though.
