10·7 months agoThere’s the merge versions plugin. Works pretty well if you have different video qualities and what not.
I imagine the code is not the problem, but more of a philosophical one. I am on your side that this is sorely needed in KDE. But I’ve been seeing KDE devs shoot down this type of functionality for a decade now and the state of this MR looks like more of the same.

It’s how kwin fundamentally works. And why you can’t just have application specific buttons and widgets in kwin window decorations like how in Gnome you can.
The article I linked is from 2013. They’ve been discussing this for a long time.
KDE has always favoured SSD over CSD. So it kind of makes sense that LIM was rejected.

Aesthetically, I think CSD is the way to go. But functionally, I love KDE too much to use anything else.
Try running
akonadictl restart. I tried that earlier and it seemed to allow me to load the mail app and add accounts to the calendar app.
I’ve been trying to install it last night on Fedora, there’s all sorts of missing akonadi errors. Maybe it’s broken for Fedora, but I am not seeing a lot of support with it.
Neat. But it’s kind of concerning to see yet another OSS project hitch it’s community resourcing to Discord.
3·1 year agoI’ve switched from Quad9 to Mullvad DNS a month ago, and I’ve been noticing some domains aren’t resolving. Domains that shouldn’t be blocked. It feels like Mullvad’s rules are extra restrictive.
Asahi Linux is shaping up nicely. I’ll probably install that soon. 👀

It’s funny. I have been forced to use macOS because of work, and I use rectangle to mimic what KDE plasma does out of the box. I’d suggest using KDE if you wanted something powerfully customizable and user friendly. If you find something that works with other windows decorations (non-KDE), I’d love to know about them too for when I inevitably switch back to Linux Desktop!
Hm. I am having trouble with setting up sonarr to reorganizing my existing download. This is a lot of work to get Jellyfin to work smoothly 🥲🫡
Kind of. It’s all one big Downloads folder, but I have shows in a subfolder. I am in the process of setting up Sonar 🫡
