Idk. I agree that it’s a bad practice, but I also don’t understand the downvotes. I think in this context it’s valid to share your preference whether to update or not. Maybe some people just click dislike because it has lots of dislikes? Who knows :)

pflanzenregal@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Finally coming around to using Linux. How's it on a tablet?5·1 year agoI only know that I was pleasantly surprised how well GNOME ran on a surface device of a friend.
The toolbar padding looks weird (top padding too low) and the toolbar key size is too small as well. But all in all totally usable alternative.
And OMG I love the glide typing it just works 🫠
I agree. Especially as the app is already 20 MB in size… 1.5MB wouldn’t make much difference IMO.
Isn’t screen sharing working since some time? Works even on WebEx from Firefox, can pick any window to share. Granted a few years back it didn’t work, but now it does. Maybe it’s a zoom bug… 🤔
pflanzenregal@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Free software pioneer Richard Stallman is battling cancer5·2 years agoAbsolutely. I didn’t mean to say he “only” changed my view, in case that’s the impression. He is a great man, the entire (digital) world is built on his legacy so to say, yet barely anyone knows about him.
PS: little anecdote as I once went to an Apple Store and scrolled through the software licenses in the settings on an iPad of iOS and found one crediting Richard Stallman as the author. I just left it like that, thought it’s funny having his name on an iPad in the Apple Store :p
pflanzenregal@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Free software pioneer Richard Stallman is battling cancer41·2 years agoYeah just fucking sad. This guy changed the way I think about software, releasing code I write, contributing etc. Would be so sad to see him go.
The low WiFi signal in the play store screenshots is stressing me out lol
