all of the fancy features that other terminals provide, I get with Tmux, so any emulator for me. I like transparent themes and that’s easy to set up in Alacritty, so that’s what I usually get

Xwayland-satellite
lately, and it works as a charm. it works out of the box, and you simply run it in background, and launch your X programs withDISPLAY=:0
I’ve definitely seen both opinions, but mostly leaning negative in my experience. Might just be confirmation bias though lol

If you’re switching to Colemak I assume you’re gonna learn how to touch type with it, at which point it really doesnt matter what the labels on the keys say. Most typing websites like monkeytype have a finger position visualization so even while learning you dont need to look at your keyboard.
idk why bring up systemd in this. it seems like a minimal simple init system for specific niches, not something you’d run on a desktop or a server.
